It is an illustration to the "Hobbit" which was made specially to my report at the conference devoted to the children's literature.

Dwarves at Bilbo's house by ~edarlein is full of character and emits warmth from the colors used. The scene is a classic one, and the detail makes it even more enjoyable! ( Featured by $aunjuli )

Fantastic drawing, great mood and atmosphere. Also, unlike the movie, these are actual Dwarves!

Imagine: Your house is entered and a meeting of 13-14 people, none of which you know, is held, to discuss an - an ADVENTURE and you are dragged into it !!

Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates -

Cut the cloth and tread the fat!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Splash the wine on every door!

Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you've finished, if any are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!

That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So, carefully! Carefully with the plates!

Well, Peter Sallis COULD have played Bilbo but after seeing the film last afternoon, I feel the actor who did, did a good job !
